What is the gel liquid fertilizer?

Gel liquid fertilizer, or called suspension liquid fertilizer, or gel water soluble fertilizer, is a very popular and promising trending in the field of water soluble fertilizer, it combines the advantage of water soluble fertilizer and slow release fertilizer, during the production, the thickening and stabilizing system are used to ensure their nutrients suspended uniformly but without sedimentation and stratification.

what is the process to produce gel liquid fertilizer?

We recommend the main process to produce suspension fertilizer as below.

1.Raw material pre-dissolved and based liquid production: Urea, potassium nitrate, phosphoric acid, calcium ammonium nitrate, chelated iron, zinc, boron, calcium, humic acid, amino acids, seaweed extract, etc. The raw materials are usually pre-dissolved separately at a water temperature of 25–40℃ to avoid mixing them all at once. The step for addition is: Water;N source;P source;K source; then Micronutrients

2.Preparation and Construction of gel system (thickening and stabilization) : Add purified water to the reactor, turn on stirring and heating (usually at 50-70℃), and then evenly sprinkle in gelling agents such as huangyuan gum, seaweed gum, or compound stabilizers, while maintaining strong homogenization and shear stirring to ensure they are fully dispersed and mixed.

3.Basic nutrient liquid fertilizer and gel matrix mixture: The base liquid fertilizer is slowly pumped into the reaction vessel using a liquid pump and thoroughly mixed with the gel matrix.

4.Homogenization, defoaming and maturation: Defoaming agents can be added to prevent collapse and bulging after filling, and the mixture should be left to stand in the storage tank for a period of time (such as 24 hours) to allow the gel structure to fully stabilize and meet the filling conditions.

5.Filling: After inspection, filling begins. It is recommended to use specialized filling equipment for viscous liquids, and the equipment should be corrosion-resistant and have good sealing properties.
